The New Schools 2021 program was developed by the Victorian Government following the forecast of a significant increase in enrolment numbers for State schools in the coming years. As such, the Victorian Government has funded the construction of 11 new schools with the intention of the first students to commence in Term 1, 2021.
The project known as ‘Bundle 1’ was delivered under a Design and Construct contract and involved 3 new schools in the Northern and Western suburbs of Melbourne: Eynesbury Primary School & Early Learning Centre, Edgars Creek Primary School, and Keelonith Primary School.
Each of the schools differ slightly, however generally:
- Has a site area of 50,000m2.
- Is comprised of 2 x Learning Neighbourhood Buildings, 1 x Administration Building, 1 x Performing Arts and Physical Education Building, 1 x Pavilion Building. Eynesbury Station Primary School also includes an Early Learning Centre with 2 x Kindergarten Rooms, External Licensed Play Space, a Maternal Child Health Office and a Community Meeting Space.
- Included hard and soft landscaping.
- Included associated services works.
We are proud to have delivered this exciting bundle ahead of schedule and to have worked with the VSBA once again. We are also delighted to have teamed up with McCorkell Constructions who constructed Keelonith Primary School.
