Monash Health provides several community-based services and programs to support the wellbeing and opportunities for local communities, helping them to live their best lives.
To support the local community of Dandenong with more convenient healthcare, the Dandenong Ambulatory Community Care Centre was established, combining various services that were previously delivered out of three separate buildings into a single facility. Dental, Dialysis, Physiotherapy, and Counselling are amongst the services provided at the Centre, as well as other general medical and allied health services.
The project involved the refurbishment of an existing 3-storey office building with a basement car park and an extensive services infrastructure upgrade to meet the requirements of the clinical services to be provided within the facility. New front and rear entrance canopies and ramps were built and completed with freshly landscaped areas, and the fit out included the construction of consulting suites, dialysis beds, a gymnasium area, and office and staff facilities to support the provision of acute hospital care and community-based care.
