Funded by the Australian Government and built on Council-owned land, the Kananook Commuter Car Park provides a modern, safe, multi-level parking facility adjacent to Kananook Railway Station in Seaford. It offers over 300 free parking spaces for commuters during peak hours and access for visitors to the nearby Frankston Basketball Stadium and Kananook Reserve during off-peak hours.

The facility includes undercover parking across two levels, dedicated bicycle parking within a secure and welcoming lobby area, and clear, safe access points for both vehicles and pedestrians. An intersection upgrade was completed to improve road user and pedestrian safety and enhance traffic flow, and pathway connection improvements, including landscaping and upgraded lighting, further enhance the link between Kananook Railway Station and the surrounding precinct, creating a safer and more accessible environment.

Futureproofed with provisions for an additional level, the Kananook Commuter Car Park ensures long-term capacity to meet growing demand and reflects a commitment to delivering infrastructure that benefits the community and promotes sustainable transport choices.
