As the population continues to grow in countless metropolitan Melbourne communities, many existing schools in these areas are struggling to accommodate for the enrolment increase. The Growth Area Schools Project (GASP) was created by the Victorian School Building Authority to provide the schools in these growing communities the increased education facilities needed
Stage 2 of the project included works at Doherty’s Creek P-9 College and Saltwater P-9 College. Both schools opened in 2019, catering for Prep – Year 6 students, and will now open their doors to Years 7 to 9.
Works at Doherty’s Creek P-9 College in Truganina involved the construction of two learning communities, multi-courts, and refitting the existing specialist learning building to accommodate teaching Year 7–9 subjects.
Works at Saltwater P-9 College in Point Cook involved the construction of a learning community and a specialist building, a sports oval, and multi-courts for the future Year 7 –9 students.
We are pleased to have delivered another project for the Victorian School Building Authority and Johnstaff.
