The relocation project for Australian Catholic University (ACU) involved the fit-out of seven leased floors over three sites throughout Melbourne. The scheduling of the project was critical to ensure ACU’s business operations were not disrupted whilst hundreds of staff members were relocated to the various sites, therefore, the project was delivered under several separable portions.
Portion B1 – Level 5, 215 Spring Street, Melbourne – 1800m2 base building fit-out comprising of offices, meeting rooms, and open plan work areas. The architectural finishes included carrara marble, polished plaster, atkar ceiling panels, blackbutt veneer panelling & cabinetry.
Portion B2 – Level 3 232 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne – 500m2 refurbishment comprising of offices, meeting rooms, and open plan work areas.
Portion B3 – Level 5, 250 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne – 300m2 refurbishment comprising of offices, meeting rooms, and open plan work areas.
Portion B4 – Level 8, 250 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne – 300m2 refurbishment comprising of offices, meeting rooms, and open plan work areas.
Portion B5 – Level 4, 250 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne – 1200m2 refurbishment comprising of offices, meeting rooms, and open plan work areas. Architectural finishes included spotted gum battening, American oak floorboards, carrara marble tiles, polished plaster, American oak veneer panelling & cabinetry.
Portion B6 – Level 6, 215 Spring Street, Melbourne – 1800m2 base-building fit-out comprising of offices, meeting rooms, and open plan work areas. The architectural finishes included American oak ceiling boards, bluestone tiling, carrara marble, sandblasted oak veneer panelling & cabinetry.
Portion B7 – Level 8 West, 250 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne – 300m2 refurbishment comprising of offices, meeting rooms, and open work areas.
All Portions of the project were successfully completed on time and Level 6 at 215 Spring Street was awarded a High Commendation in the IDEA Awards in the Workplace over 1000m2 Category.
