The Wyndham Vale South Primary School project involved the construction of a new primary school on Melbourne’s western fringes. Designed to cater for years P-6 this ‘time is of the essence’ project was completed for classes to commence in term 1, 2015.
A new single storey purpose built primary school was constructed on the site and has incorporated a multipurpose hall, multiple classrooms, staff and visitor car parking and extensive soft landscaping.
The project involved the site clearing of a once unoccupied site set amongst a new residential development on the corner of Ribblesdale Avenue and Haines Drive, Wyndham Vale. An exisiting sports field and recently completed community pavilion bound the site to the south.
The project was handed over in two sections, with the first ready for mobilisation of furniture and equipment in November 2014. Classrooms and landscaping formed the majority of the first handover. The second handover in March 2015 consisted of the multipurpose hall and remaining classrooms.
This project will be conducted in accordance with the Victorian State Code Compliance Guidelines.
