Ireland Brown Constructions were contracted to undertake cell fit out works in the Loddon, Barwon and MAP prisons throughout Victoria. The fit out works included the supply and installation of various seamless steel items including bunk beds, shelving, benches and ladders, electrical services and make good works. The works were completed within the operational prison and they required thorough communications and programming with the prison management. IBC were required to complete and implement heavily coordinated risk management procedures as part of this contract and all installations were required to be BDRP compliant prior to handover.
