The site for the new design and construction project – Capability development Division Building, will be situated within the current grounds of the Police Academy located in Glen Waverley.
The main features of the building include; glazed façade, metal cladding, composite timber cladding, sizeable female and male change areas, exposed aggregate pathways, a large canopy to the entry/external courtyards and a terrace overlooking back towards the main academy building.
The aim of the design is to enhance the presence of the main academy structure and existing landscape. This has been achieved through the layout and the positioning of the building and curving around the existing prestigious building.
As the project was procured via “true” design and construct methodology we engaged the services of FMSA, Meinhardt and Outlines Landscape Architecture to complete the design that was submitted with our tender.
Ireland Brown Constructions is pleased to be working alongside both Victoria Police and TSA Management on this exciting new project.
