Ireland Brown Constructions were engaged in the conversion of a 1840m2 warehouse into 14, 26-30 sq three story town houses. The initial stage was to demolish the existing warehouse down to the structural columns and first floor suspended slab. Seventeen internal columns were replaced and extended to accommodate the lower level floors. The third story consists of a light timber frame clad with a wall system of Alucobond, Unitex Render and timber.
Due to the nature of the site, access restraints demanded that clever logistical planning and programming were undertaken. This level of planning was crucial as it ensured that the project was delivered on time and to the satisfaction of the client.
The final product was 14 new townhouses with high end finishes such as sleek polished concrete floors, stone bench tops, CBUS smart wiring and Miele appliances.
