The construction of a community children’s centre for the City of Whittlesea. The project involves a complex steel structure clad in a matrix of several materials (custom folded standing seam metal cladding with bluestone tile cladding & coloured anodized aluminium sheet cladding).
The design and specification of materials encapsulates several ESD features which are integrated into a sophisticated BMS controls system. Internally the building features A Grade plywood linings, screens and joinery.
The project also involves a highly detailed external learning environment with shade structures, play equipment and bespoke furniture from nominated artists.
