Situated in Melbourne’s West, the aged care facility in Cairnlea was constructed for the Indochinese Elderly Refugees Association (IERA) of Victoria, specifically catering for Vietnamese residents.

The design and construct project involved the construction of a two-storey building with 60 bedrooms, and includes an internal courtyard, commercial kitchen and basic medical services, and is located within 300m of Cairnlea Shopping Centre.  The existing vegetation on the vacant site prior to construction was utilised through the landscaping design.

The building structure is a combination of steel, concrete and a variety of different contemporary external claddings, including render, timber, stone and brickwork
