Ireland Brown Constructions were engaged on a design and construct contract to build the new 60 bed aged care facility in Cairnlea. This project was was completed on time in November 2016.

The new facility caters specifically for the Indochinese Elderly Refugees Association (IERA) of Victoria.

In addition to the permanent accommodation, the facility includes an internal courtyard, commercial kitchen and basic medical services. The landscaping was designed to incorporate much of the existing vegetation already on the vacant site.

The structure is a combination of steel, concrete and a variety of different contemporary external claddings. This includes the use of render, timber, stone and brickwork.

The project was OFSC accredited.
