Ireland Brown Constructions were engaged on a design and construct contract to build a new 60 bed aged care facility in Cairnlea.
The new facility will cater specifically for the Indochinese Elderly Refugees Association (IERA) of Victoria.
In addition to the permanent accommodation, the facility will include an internal courtyard, commercial kitchen and basic medical services. The landscaping design has made use of much of the existing vegetation already on the vacant site.
The structure is a combination of steel, concrete and a variety of different contemporary external claddings. This includes the use of render, timber, stone and brickwork.
The project was OFSC accredited.
