ExxonMobil are undertaking a comprehensive review and upgrade of all occupied buildings at their Altona Refinery site to ensure all buildings provide a safe environment for the occupants in case of a blast event.

  • The upgrade and refurbishment of the Main Administration Building, a 2-storey office building of aprox 2,400sqm originally constructed in the early 1990’s.  Works  include:
    • Demolition of the existing reception building
    • Removal of existing ceiling, services and internal partitions
    • Provision of a new entry canopy
    • Replacement of all external windows and doors
    • Replacement of all light weight external claddings
    • Replacement of the metal deck roof cladding
    • Addition of structural bracing and a structural roof truss
    • Addition of a lift
    • Provision of new roof access
    • Replacement of all mechanical and electrical services
    • Refurbishment of all toilet facilities
    • Provision of new ceilings
    • Full internal refurbishment  and fitout
    • Code compliance with current BCA
    • The construction of a new separate single storey Central Amenities Building of aprox 500 sqm comprising;
      • Change room, toilets and shower facilities for Maintenance, Operations and Office staff
      • Construction is concrete slab, steel portal frame structure, concrete precast wall and metal deck roof. Internal walls are steel stud frames

Sundry works include fencing, paving, landscaping  and associated site works.
