Ireland Brown Constructions was engaged as the head contractor under a Construction Management Contract to complete a fast tracked tenancy fitout of approximately 1050m2 for the Climate Change Authority, within two stages.
The First stage was to provide the back of house facilities, including offices, workstation areas, a quiet room, an informal meeting room, carer’s room, records/storage room and the IT Comms room. Ten days out from the handover of stage 1 this area was extended to include the business centre with fully functional kitchen facilities, which IBC were able to achieve.
Stage 2 saw the fitout of the front of house areas, including the reception and waiting area, additional workstation areas, senior management offices, a meeting room, breakout areas that include kitchen facilities and utility spaces. It also included a conference room with an integrated audio visual system for the control of lighting, block out blinds, the TV and video conferencing.
Throughout the project numerous client driven changes expanded the scope of works, while the project end date remained unchanged. IBC were able to achieve the completion of all additional scope items within the given time frame.
IBC successfully completed both stages of the project on time and to the satisfaction of the Climate Change Authority and Montlaur Project Services.
