The major extension and refurbishment of the existing Clare Court Children’s Centre provides updated Kindergarten, Day Care and Playgroup facilities, as well as Maternal and Child Health Service facilites for local residents in the City of Maribyrnong.
The extension comprised a ground slab, suspended slab, masonry, complicated structural steel frame, infill timber framing, metal and timber cladding, energy efficient windows, building services, energy monitoring systems and site landscaping works.
The works were carried out in stages to allow the facility to remain fully operational during construction. The stages required high-level program meetings with the Council and user groups to ensure that adequate child care facilities were maintained at all times.
IBC successfully delivered this project on time without causing disruptions to the facility and maintained a great relationship with the Council and Architect.
